Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms are a deal between you and Graverholt Unlimited LLC. Here, "we" and "us" mean that company. These terms cover the website pocketoracle.com. They also cover the Pocket Oracle: Holy Books apps. If you use Pocket Oracle, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Our Privacy Policy says what we do with your data. It is part of these terms.
You must be 18 or older
Pocket Oracle is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
What Pocket Oracle is
- Pocket Oracle helps you read the world's holy and wisdom books.
- You ask a question. It finds real passages. It shows where each one comes from.
- Each quote on a card is checked word for word against our copy of the book.
- AI writes the meaning on a card and the replies in Talk. AI can be wrong. Read the passage for yourself.
- Talk is a chat with AI, not a person. It can only quote the passages it is shown.
What Pocket Oracle is not
- It does not predict the future.
- It makes no rulings on faith. It does not speak for any god, faith or teacher.
- It is not advice. It gives no health, legal or money advice.
- It is not a crisis service. If you are hurting and need someone now, you can call or text 988 (in the US). Or find a free line at findahelpline.com. If a life is in danger right now, call 911.
The books
The books are old translations. Most are in the public domain in the United States. Do you hold the rights to a text we show? Write to us. We will look at it right away, and we hold it back while we check. Old books can use old words and old ideas. Showing a passage does not mean we agree with it.
Your questions
Your questions belong to you. You let us send them to the AI companies named in our Privacy Policy. We do that only to answer you. Please do not put other people's private details in a question.
Use Pocket Oracle fairly
Please do not:
- break the law, or use Pocket Oracle to hurt, threaten or bully anyone;
- try to make it write harmful things, or get around its safety rules;
- copy it in bulk with bots or scripts, or flood it with requests;
- try to get free credits with tricks, such as many fake installs or accounts;
- copy, change or take apart the app, except where the law allows;
- let anyone under 18 use it.
If someone breaks these rules, we may limit, pause or block their phone, browser or account. Each answer has a Report button. Please use it if a reply is wrong or hurtful.
Credits
- Each question or Talk message uses one credit. Reading the books is free.
- If we cannot answer, the credit comes back. Help replies are always free.
- You get some free questions each day. They come back at midnight UTC. Free questions you do not use do not carry over. We may change how many you get.
- Free questions are used first. Then credits you bought are used.
- You can buy packs of credits. You see the price before you pay.
- Credits you buy do not expire.
- Credits have no cash value. You cannot sell them or give them to someone else. You can move your own credits to your own devices.
- Credits work only in Pocket Oracle.
- As a guest, your credits stay on that phone or in that browser. If you delete the app or clear your browser, you can lose them. Sign in to keep them safe.
- If you delete your account, any credits left are lost. We warn you before you confirm.
- If a pack is refunded, we take back the credits from it that are still left.
Buying in the apps
In the iPhone app, you pay Apple. In the Android app, you pay Google Play. Their rules cover your payment and any refund. To ask for a refund, use Apple's refund page or Google Play's refund page. You can also write to us.
Buying on the website
On the website, you pay by card through Stripe. Your card bill shows a line that ends in PKT ORACLE. To ask for a refund of a website purchase, write to us within 30 days of the purchase.
Accounts
You do not need an account. You can sign in with Apple on iPhone, or with Google. Keep your Apple or Google account safe. You can sign out or delete your account in Settings.
Changes
We may change Pocket Oracle. We may add, change or stop any part of it. If we ever plan to close Pocket Oracle, we will say so in the app and on the website at least 30 days before. We may change these terms too. If we do, we change the date at the top. If a change is big, we tell you in the app or on the website. If you keep using Pocket Oracle after that, you accept the new terms.
No promises
We work hard to get each quote right. But we cannot promise that Pocket Oracle is always right, always on, or free of mistakes. Pocket Oracle is given to you "as is". As far as the law allows, we make no promises beyond the ones in these terms.
Limits on what we owe
As far as the law allows, we do not pay for losses that are not direct. That includes lost profits and lost data. If we do owe you money, it is no more than what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if that is more. Some places do not allow these limits. There, they apply only as far as the law allows.
If you got the app from Apple or Google
Apple's standard license for apps also applies to the iPhone app. Google Play's terms also apply to the Android app. If one of them and these terms disagree about the app itself, theirs applies. Apple and Google are not part of these terms, and they do not support Pocket Oracle. We do.
Law and disputes
The laws of the State of Colorado govern these terms, without regard to rules that would pick another place's laws. A dispute about these terms or Pocket Oracle is heard in the state courts of Boulder County, Colorado, or in the federal court for the District of Colorado. If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there, these terms do not take that away.
