Delete your Pocket Oracle account
This page is for the app Pocket Oracle: Holy Books. The app is made by Graverholt Unlimited LLC. It runs on iPhone and Android. This page also covers pocketoracle.com. It shows how to delete your data. It says what we delete and what we keep.
The fastest way: delete in the app
If you signed in:
- Open Pocket Oracle: Holy Books.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the list of what goes and what stays. Then confirm.
- Used Sign in with Apple? Then Apple asks you to confirm it is you.
Your account is deleted right away. The app tells you when it is done.
If you never signed in:
- Open Pocket Oracle: Holy Books.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete my data on this phone. Then confirm.
No app? Ask us by email
Write to josh@graverholtunlimited.com from the email on your account. Use the subject "Delete my account". Tell us if you signed in with Apple or Google. Did you choose Hide My Email with Apple? Then tell us the private address Apple made for us. To find it on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Sign in with Apple. Then pick Pocket Oracle.
We delete your account within 30 days. We write back when it is done.
You can also act through Apple. If you delete your Apple Account, we delete your Pocket Oracle account too.
Guest data, no app: we keep no name or email for a guest. So an email cannot find guest data. To delete it, open the app and tap Delete my data on this phone before you remove the app. On the website, your questions are only in your browser. Tap Clear my questions to remove them.
What we delete
- Your email, and your Apple or Google sign-in ID.
- Your sign-in on each device. Each one is signed out.
- Any credits you have left. They cannot come back. We warn you before you confirm.
- Any codes waiting to move credits.
- The link between you and our usage logs and reports. Those logs never hold your words.
- Used Sign in with Apple? We tell Apple to end our access. Used Google? The app ends its access to your Google account.
What we keep, and why
- Purchase records: what was bought and when. The price. The store's number for the purchase. Any refund.
- The credit history: credits added and used, with dates.
We keep these with no email and no name. We keep them for refunds, disputes and tax. We keep them for up to 7 years. Then we delete them.
Usage logs and reports hold none of your words. Once your account is deleted, they have no link to you.
What deleting does not do
- It does not delete the questions saved in the app. Tap Clear my questions, or remove the app.
- It does not cancel or refund a purchase. Apple and Google keep their own records of what you bought. To ask for a refund, use Apple's refund page or Google Play's refund page.
- The AI companies that help us answer keep what we sent for a short time. Our Privacy Policy says how long.
