Book 6: Hymn 69: A priest's prayer for power and glory

Hymns of the Atharva Veda (Griffith) · 1 passage

1

1Mine be the glory in the hill, in vales, in cattle, and in gold, Mine be the sweetness that is found in nectar and in flowing wine! 2With your delicious honey balm me, Asvins, Lords of splendid light! That clear and resonant may be the voice I utter to mankind. 3In me be strength, in me be fame, in me the power of sacrifice: Prajāpati establish this in me as firm as light in heaven!
